An expert meeting on the connection of renewable sources to the low-voltage and medium-voltage distribution grid, organized by CIRED Serbia, was held on October 12, 2023, in Belgrade, at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Branislava Lepotić Kovačević, president of the Serbian Energy Law Association (UPES), spoke about the legal aspects of importance for connection to the electricity distribution system.

She stated that connecting to the system has many aspects: technical, economic and legal. She pointed out that when determining the legal framework, one must start from the basic goal, which is the understanding of the electricity distribution system as a group/club asset and connection as a club
membership.
